Role Summary
We are seeking passionate and skilled software engineers to join our team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure, ensuring that our data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
You will work with large volumes of data, enabling both science and business teams to access secure and reliable data quickly.
Your contributions will support our science team in enhancing the quality of our state-of-the-art AI models and assist business users in making informed decisions.
What you will do
Product Development: design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
System Architecture: design and implement efficient, secure, and scalable backend architectures that support our product goals.
Code Quality: write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and participate in code reviews to uphold our high standards of quality.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
• Support our AI scientists to help them access data to improve our Large language models accuracy and performance.
• Contribute to the development of data governance policies and procedures.
Problem-Solving:
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all data platforms.
• Develop and implement data warehousing and data lake solutions.
• Optimize data queries and improve data processing performance. Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues and incidents.
Innovation: stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices.
About you
• 5+ years of relevant professional work experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on Data engineering work
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in Python, SQL and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive).
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Flink).
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Knowledge of databases, caching mechanisms and messaging systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ownership and capacity to ship products end-to-end.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Low ego and team spirit mindset.
• Autonomous and self-starter.

Location
We do not require you to be based in a specific location as long as it is in one of the countries listed in this job posting. However, you will be expected to be available for a monthly visit to one of our offices:
• 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇪🇸 If based in France, Germany or Spain: we will ask you to come to our Paris office 3 days per month
• 🇬🇧 If based in the UK: we will ask you to come to our London office 3 days per month
• We will cover 100% of inter-country travelling and 50% of intra-country travelling fees
Besides, please note that we ask all new hires to come to our Paris HQ for the first month of their onboarding (accommodation and travelling covered).
