The Partner Engineer role at MinIO is a hands-on engineering position focused on working directly with our partners and customers to integrate, validate, and optimize MinIO solutions. You will be deeply involved in technical engagements, from solution validation to benchmarking and troubleshooting, acting as a trusted technical advisor. This role is perfect for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex problems while collaborating closely with partners.

  • Hands-on Engineering: Lead technical integration and deployment efforts, working directly with partner engineering teams to ensure seamless MinIO implementations
  • Solution Validation: Validate MinIO solutions against partner hardware and software platforms to ensure performance and compatibility
  • Benchmarking: Perform hardware and software benchmarking to optimize MinIO's performance across various workloads
  • Customer/Partner Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison, working side-by-side with partners and customers to ensure their success with MinIO's object storage platform
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level hands-on troubleshooting for partner issues and ensure technical challenges are resolved efficiently
  • Training & Enablement: Deliver technical training sessions to partner teams to empower them with the knowledge and skills required to deploy and manage MinIO effectively
  • Feedback Loop: Actively gather feedback from partners and communicate it to MinIO's product and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement


Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of storage systems, cloud architectures, and distributed computing. Experience with Kubernetes, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
  • Hands-on Benchmarking Skills: Demonstrated experience with performance benchmarking (hardware and software) in storage solutions or similar platforms
  • Programming Knowledge: Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
  • Networking & Security: Strong understanding of networking, security, and performance tuning in complex environments
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, particularly in distributed systems and storage infrastructure
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Customer/Partner Facing: Experience working directly with partners or customers in a hands-on capacity, aligning technical solutions with their needs
