Role Overview
As Systems Engineer Extraordinaire, you will be instrumental in helping all things IT, Security, Infrastructure, and Compliance go at Method Security. You are an extraordinaire in the sense that you thrive in wearing a multitude of technical hats. This role requires a fast moving, high agency individual that has a passion for computers, security, and cloud that wants an opportunity for more responsibility. One hour you might be working on setting up some security stack infrastructure, the next you might be helping build our cyber range where we train AI cyber agents, the next you might be writing a new Method Connector to dogfood our platform internally. You have no issues driving less exciting stuff that matters critically, like compliance. You'll work closely with the leadership team to implement a robust security program and closely with developers to support them with infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and operate Method's internal security stack and related systems for its Information Security program.
Operate Method's key IT systems and build automations to streamline processes.
Test and analyze Method Platform on dimensions of application and product security.
Drive compliance initiatives for the company and its products.
Work with the Engineering team to build infrastructure to support development and testing of Method Platform.
Support the infrastructure and deployments of on-premise customers.
Build integrations into third party security products to for purpose of building out Method Platform's visibility and testing workflows internally.
Communicate security principles and advise on Method's broader security program.
Qualifications
Expertise in cloud infrastructure automation.
Experience working in an infosec organization, with strong familiarity with security workflows, tools, and automation.
Proficiency in software development, particularly in automating and expanding security workflows within a product. Experience in Python and Go is preferred.
Practical knowledge of advanced security workflows, including vulnerability management, incident response, and threat detection.
Ability to effectively communicate security principles and their impact to non-security stakeholders.
Nice to Haves
Experience supporting classified work for US Government customers.
Familiarity with application security domains.
