Meter is rewriting the playbook for enterprise networking, and the market is starting to take notice. Over the last decade, we’ve rebuilt the entire networking stack from the ground up and are now serving some of the most respected enterprises in the world, offering a full-stack approach that defies conventional categories.
The challenge? While our product is differentiated, analysts still struggle to place us within existing market frameworks. They try to compare us to legacy vendors like Cisco or managed services providers, but we are neither.
We need someone who can help analysts understand what we’ve built and where we’re going. Someone who can translate our architecture, model, and customer outcomes into a story that fits, and expands, the frameworks analysts use to evaluate the market. This is a pivotal role that will shape how Meter shows up in the Gartner Magic Quadrant, and in every analyst note and conversation that follows.
What success looks like
Meter is clearly and credibly represented in key analyst publications, such as Gartner’s Magic Quadrant and Forrester’s Wave.
Analysts understand our differentiation and positioning—and start reflecting it back in notes, reports, and briefings.
We establish relationships with top analysts in networking, security, and infrastructure who reach out to us for insight, not just the other way around.
Internal stakeholders (product, sales, leadership) are confident in our analyst engagement strategy—and supported by you in making it effective.
What your day-to-day will look like
Lead our analyst relations program from scratch: Build our strategy, messaging, processes, and calendar from the ground up.
Drive strategic analyst engagement: Plan and execute briefings, inquiries, and meetings across Gartner, Forrester, IDC, Dell’Oro, and others.
Manage submissions for key evaluations: Coordinate cross-functional input for Magic Quadrants, Waves, Market Guides, and other industry assessments.
Shape narrative and differentiation: Develop and refine messaging tailored for the analyst audience, rooted in how Meter’s architecture and go-to-market differ from incumbents.
Track and influence perception: Monitor how we’re positioned, analyze what’s resonating, and adapt our approach over time.
Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Product, and Execs to ensure alignment between what we build and how we show up externally.
Who you are
You’ve worked with analysts before—and know how to get their attention, earn their trust, and influence how they think.
You understand the landscape: enterprise networking, infrastructure, security. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you can speak confidently about the space.
You’re strategic and operational. You can build a multi-quarter engagement plan, but you’ll also run the submission process, write the docs, and prep the team.
You write clearly, synthesize well, and communicate crisply. You know when to push back and when to press forward.
You want to own this. You're excited by the opportunity to define how Meter is perceived by the analysts who shape our category.
Why Meter
The internet runs the world. Every email you send, purchase you make, video call you join—it’s all packets flowing through networks. But those networks haven’t changed for decades. They’re brittle, complex, and surprisingly hard to set up in an enterprise space.
We started Meter to build better networks. We had to build everything from the ground-up: designing and building our own enterprise hardware, intuitive software, and streamlined operations to deliver great outcomes for our customers. Today, we build and deploy these networks at scale. Ambitious companies and enduring institutions like Bridgewater, Lyft, Reddit, rely on Meter to keep their thousands of employees and locations online and productive.
Our bet with Meter is simple: we will all use the internet more than we do today. We believe we have the definitive networking stack in place to enable business to do so as seamlessly and reliably as any modern utility.
