Job Description:

Menlo Security is looking for a Salesforce Developer to join our Business Technology team and serve as a core architect and builder for our GTM Strategy and Operations team. This person will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality, scalable technical solutions on the Salesforce platform to support our critical Sales, Customer Success, and Finance operations. This is an exciting opportunity to translate complex business requirements into elegant code and configuration, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the entire Salesforce ecosystem as we scale to protect enterprises and governments worldwide. You will partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional operations teams (Sales Operations, CS Operations) to deliver innovative solutions that automate processes and drive business efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Custom Development & Engineering: Design, develop, test, and deploy custom programmatic solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL, while strictly adhering to best practices and governor limits.

  • System Integration: Build and maintain seamless, high-performance integrations between Salesforce and external business applications (e.g., ERP, CPQ, Marketing Automation, Gainsight) using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools.

  • Process Automation: Utilize a blend of declarative (Flow, Process Builder) and programmatic tools to build robust, scalable automation that streamlines business processes across the entire customer lifecycle.

  • Quality Assurance & DevOps: Own the development lifecycle, including performing code reviews, writing comprehensive unit tests (Apex Test Classes for 90%+ code coverage), managing release cycles, and enforcing source control (Git) and CI/CD methodologies.

  • Technical Advisory: Serve as the subject matter expert on Salesforce technical capabilities, platform limitations, and security best practices, providing guidance to Administrators, Business Analysts, and cross-functional leadership.

  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks across the Salesforce platform and connected systems.

Key Position Outcomes & Deliverables:

Critical Outcome: The Salesforce platform is a stable, secure, and performant engine for Menlo Security’s Go-to-Market success, delivering scalable solutions with zero unplanned downtime.

  • Maintain an average Apex Code Coverage of 90%+ for all custom code deployments.

  • Achieve a low Change Failure Rate (CFR) and consistently meet the Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) SLA for critical production issues.

  • Successfully deliver all assigned Salesforce development user stories and projects on-time and within budget, as measured by Sprint/Project Completion Rate.

  • Ensure all new integrations or major feature rollouts meet established performance benchmarks (e.g., latency, throughput).

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer designing and implementing scalable solutions in a B2B SaaS environment.

  • Expertise in Salesforce programmatic development: Apex (Classes, Triggers, Batch, Scheduled), Visualforce, and modern UI development using Lightning Web Components (LWC).

  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce data modeling, security architecture (Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing Settings), and governor limits.

  • Strong experience with Salesforce integration patterns using REST/SOAP APIs and managing data migration/quality (e.g., Data Loader).

  • Required Certification: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I. (Platform Developer II strongly preferred/nice-to-have).

  • Proficiency with development tools including VS Code, Git/Version Control, and experience with CI/CD deployment tools.

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders and business leaders.
