Menlo Security is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Web Site Categorisation and CASB team. This team makes sure our users can safely browse websites through our secure cloud, protecting users from malicious and phishing sites, and securing access to authorised web applications. The products this team develops are a vital part of our secure enterprise browser. The ideal candidate is eager to learn more about security, has 3-5 years of experience in programming languages like NodeJS, experience with AWS and GCP, and can solve complex technical problems.
What You’ll Do
Evaluate and implement the latest development and deployment technologies for API design, highly available and scalable distributed systems, multithreaded/asynchronous applications with performance and security in mind
Design, develop and own new features and services and be a key contributor to Menlo’s technical roadmap
Technically participate in building, deploying and operating the Menlo Security platform
Identify and resolve software defects by reviewing dashboards, errors and metrics
Partner with product, security, operation, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align on requirements and schedules
Research new technologies to enhance our products
Write unit tests and automated tests to ensure code quality
Conduct code and design reviews for peers
Who You Are
You are a software developer with 3-5 years of experience using one or more programming languages such as NodeJS, Python, and Go
You have 3-5 years of experience with Cloud services such as GCP and/or AWS
You have 3-5 years of experience with Linux and software development tools such as git
You have a degree in Computer Science or a related field (BE/ BTech or Masters required)
You enjoy solving problems and are solution oriented
You are proactive, self-motivated, and can learn new things with little guidance
You are highly organized and thorough, with critical attention to detail and documentation
What Will Make You Stand Out
Proven experience building large scale web applications and REST APIs
Solid experience with complex data structures and database technologies such as Redis, Postgres, and MySQL
Knowledge of Tornado web application framework and test automation
Experience with containers, docker and Kubernetes
Experience with cloud infrastructure development technologies such as Terraform
Experience in adapting and improving engineering best practices (e.g. test-driven development, continuous delivery, scrum practices, automation, Maintainable and testable code etc.).
