Menlo Security is currently seeking Senior Software Engineers to expand our Logging and Analytics Team into Bangalore, India. The global Logging and Analytics team is responsible for owning the architecture, design, development, deployment, and monitoring of our logging and analytics services, which includes managing our big data platform and Druid clusters.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled full-stack engineer with a strong focus on backend development and experience in creating and delivering high-quality solutions in both cloud and enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
● Architect, design, develop, and maintain new features and services, making a significant contribution to Menlo’s technical roadmap.
● Contribute to the service ownership of the logging and analytics services, collaborating with TechOps to help maintain and monitor the service, and attend to on-call urgent issues.
● Implement engineering best practices with a focus on architectural design, testability, scalability, and maintainability.
● Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other cross-functional teams to understand requirements and the business impact of your work.
● Use both your technical and interpersonal skills to lead small to medium-sized projects to successful completion.
Qualifications:
● At least one year of hands-on backend development experience using one or more modern programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Node.js, and Go, in a Linux environment.
● Solid experience with complex data structures and big data, as well as familiarity with one or more database technologies such as Redis, OLTP, or Druid.
● Proficiency in backend and mid-tier applications and API development.
● Familiarity with Cloud and Core AWS or GCP services, including cloud computing, serverless, storage, and cloud services design patterns.
● Working knowledge of software development tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, etc.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong ability to learn new concepts with minimal guidance.
● Highly organized and thorough, with a keen attention to detail and documentation.
● A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
