Menlo Security is expanding our Logging and Analytics Team into Bangalore, India, and we're seeking a Manager to lead this engineering team. The successful candidate will lead the team in the architecture, design, development, deployment, and monitoring of our logging and analytics services, comprising our big data platform and Druid clusters.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead and own the building, deployment, and operation of the Menlo Security logging and analytics services and platform.
● Define the team's vision and strategy in sync with the overall company strategy, collaborating closely with product managers, customers, partners, and the leadership team.
● Mentor and empower your team to achieve their professional success, fostering a high-performance culture.
● Establish strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders, partners, and key teams through transparent communication.
Qualifications:
● A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
● 5+ years of experience in cloud computing technologies or related fields.
● 2+ years of experience in leading and building high-performing engineering teams, attracting top talent with diverse skills.
● Development experience using one or more modern programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Node.js, and Go
● Experience with complex data structures, big data analytics, and database technologies like Redis, Postgres, MySQL, and Druid.
● Proficiency in adapting and improving engineering best practices, such as test-driven development, continuous delivery, scrum practices, and automation.
● Experience in the cybersecurity industry is a plus.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Proactive, self-motivated, with a strong ability to learn new concepts with minimal guidance. ● Highly organized and thorough, with critical attention to detail and documentation.
