Maven is looking to bring on a contractor to help oversee and execute on our events strategy. This role is based in New York City and the candidate must be able and willing to travel. Compensation will be a flat rate paid for the duration of the contract.

To make our mission a reality, your skills will be accountable for:

  • Oversee the creation of the annual events (both in-person and virtual) strategy, calendar, and budget. Partnering cross-functionally with key teams across the Growth organization and leadership to set the strategic direction for events and evaluate additional opportunities as they arise.
  • Responsible for the overall management and execution of the events strategy including pre-event planning, resource planning and allocation, post-event follow-up, sales collaboration, measurement, tracking and reporting.
  • Lead the strategic direction across multiple types of events and activations including, but not limited to, industry events and trade shows, sponsored conferences, webinars, ABX roundtables, VIP dinners and experiences to drive brand awareness, lead generation and ultimately pipeline growth.
  • Negotiate event sponsorships to maximize the value of each opportunity for Maven building long term relationships with vendors
  • Procure and manage agencies and/or vendors for all events related logistics including event production, catering, transportation and other support services
  • Manage internal communication, attendance, and training for team members representing Maven at conferences and events
  • Partner with channel leads to oversee pre/post-event cross-platform marketing campaigns to generate attendance and develop qualified marketing leads
  • Oversee the production of custom event materials and communications (signage, invitations, collateral, etc)
  • Develop processes to ensure program quality and a consistent experience for event attendees
  • Manage the events team that currently includes one full-time events manager, contract support and vendors

We’re looking for you to bring:

  • 10+ years of relevant B2B event marketing experience
  • Proven history of collaborating across multiple disciplines to meet event goals (marketing, creative, operations, sales, finance etc.)
  • Ability to create presentations, budgets, run of show documents, etc.
  • Ability to communicate clearly while operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive and proven experience producing in-person events, planning, production, execution and reconciliation
  • Experience in building and scaling large member communities in-person and virtually
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong creative vision with a test and learn mentality
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel
  • Passion for women’s and family health

Compensation range: $12,000-14,0000 / month
