DesignShop is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead, manage, and optimize the creation and coordination of site-related content. This multifaceted role requires a high degree of cross-functional management and coordination among the Product Catalog, Imagery, Visualization, and Merchandising Teams.
As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the scheduling, forecasting, and delivery required to meet platform SLAs. Success in this role is dependent upon your ability to ‘bring people together’, solve complex problems, and confidently make prioritization decisions. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is tech-savvy and results-driven, experienced in managing a multi-faceted production process, comfortable in a client-facing role, and adept at production forecasting and resource utilization strategies. This is a unique opportunity to build a tech-first production pipeline and help shape the trajectory of our platform’s growth.
What you’ll do:
- Brand and SKU Launches: Manage the end-to-end production process of getting new brands and their SKUs live, ensuring the required data is accurate and complete.
- Prioritize Tasks and Teams: Set and manage priorities across cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient coordination and sequencing of tasks to reach optimal efficiency and meet deadlines.
- Point of Escalation: Serve as the point of escalation for issues relating to inconsistent data, image quality, engineering needs, system bugs, and complex production challenges.
- Systems and Processes: Create and implement processes that facilitate independent delivery by teams, including reporting, to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- On-going Oversight: Serve as the central point for the coordination and execution of production within our Product Catalog and Visualization studio, supporting an exceptional on-site experience.
- Image Management: Lead Image Department functions, including but not limited to image acquisition, quality assessment, retouching, storage allocation, and attribute coding.
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years in a similar role
- Experience as an Individual Contributor managing cross-functional teams
- A strong bias for action and a sense of curiosity
- Proficient in excel
- Basic understanding of databases and workflow management systems preferred
- Out-the-box thinking needed to work through challenges
- Proven ability to lead autonomously and operate in a hands-on manner
- Comfortable with decision-making and taking calculated risks to achieve deadlines
- Technical, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Ability to design and develop internal processes and implement structure
