Material Bank is seeking a skilled Content Creator to join our dynamic Growth Marketing team. This full-time position will collaborate closely with marketing strategy, research, creative, and channel distribution teams. The role extends beyond traditional copywriting; it encompasses the craft of content creation that marries compelling copy with visually appealing imagery to enhance member engagement and facilitate a cohesive brand experience. This role is ideal for a creative and versatile individual who excels at creating cohesive and impactful content through the written word and visual storytelling. What you’ll do:

  • Produce original, clear, and engaging copy for multiple audiences across different platforms, including website content (SEO optimized), advertisements, email communications, print materials, press releases, and social media.
  • Select compelling images well aligned with the narrative goals of content
  • Perform basic photo retouching and resizing, ensuring all visual content aligns with the written copy and brand standards.
  • Upload finalized content into CMS or delivered to requested team
  • Research competitors and stay informed about market trends to ensure content relevancy.
  • Edit existing or provided copy for spelling, grammar, and consistency, while also adjusting visual elements to complement the textual content.
  • Liaise with clients and colleagues to understand advertising and content requirements fully.
  • Update and amend campaigns based on feedback, adjusting copy and images as needed.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of an integrated multi-platform editorial calendar/schedule.
  • Update meta content on websites and ensure visual content is optimized for web standards.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional writing experience across multiple platforms
  • Works well independently and with a team
  • Hands-on experience with content management systems (i.e., WordPress)
  • Willingness to learn HubSpot
  • Familiarity with SEO optimized content
  • Excellent written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Creative, self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Flexible and detail oriented. Able to handle multiple assignments, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with HubSpot a plus.
  • Experience with interviewing for stories a plus
  • Experience with resizing photos and/or photoshop a plus
