Mark43 is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Product Manager to lead the development of our Jail Management System (JMS).
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in defining and delivering innovative solutions for public safety agencies. As an experienced Product Manager, you will drive ideas from inception to launch, ensuring they address complex challenges unique to the industry. Our cloud-native JMS tackles critical operational issues, and we need someone who can combine strategic thinking with a user-centered approach to deliver seamless, delightful user experiences. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging research and insights to transform intricate problems into intuitive, effective solutions.
What You’ll Do
If you were part of our product team, here are some things you may have done last week:
- Worked with engineering and design teams to execute the strategic roadmap for the technical platform
- Iterated on an existing platform features to drive product functionality and performance
- Contributed to and revised the platform product backlog based on customer and market insights
- Collected requirements, established success metrics, collaborated with design, and worked towards execution for the feature sets you own
- Worked with stakeholders (customers, internal subject matter experts, vendors, technical resources, etc.) to craft and revise requirements to guide design and engineering
- Ensured delivered solutions meet stakeholder expectations
- Provided product expertise to internal teams like sales, support and professional services
- Clearly communicated problem statements and led ideation sessions with stakeholders
- Monitored metrics to help you make data driven product decisions
- Further immersed yourself in the end-user experience via customer facing activities, such as solution refinement, show-and-tells, ride-along opportunities and communications center site visits
What You’ll Need
We are looking for a candidate with 4-7 years of experience as a Product Manager or product leader, preferably with a background in enterprise SaaS. You should have demonstrated success in developing workflow-heavy solutions that drive operational efficiency. To excel in this role, you’ll need strong business, design, and technical acumen, enabling you to collaborate effectively with sales team members, designers, and engineers. Additionally, your storytelling skills will be crucial for generating enthusiasm among both internal teams and external stakeholders for the products you develop. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you’ll need to articulate and represent the diverse points of view of a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the board.

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a target base annual salary range of $130,000-$185,000, plus bonus opportunity, company stock options, and a full benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401k with a company match. Please note that the higher end of this range will be reserved for candidates with appropriate experience who reside in high cost of labor markets.
