The Opportunity
For the last decade, the advertising industry has focused on targeting, finding the right person. The next decade will be defined by generation, creating the right content. Luma AI is leading this shift. We are a full-stack AI lab building the "brain" that will power the next creative economy. Backed by over $1.3 billion in funding, we are building a new product team to create the operating system for this new era.
Where You Come In
You will be a founding member of the team building the "Cursor for Ad Agencies." This is an intelligent agentic platform that automates the heavy lifting of creative work. We need a senior technical leader to architect the core infrastructure that supports this transition. You will build the 0-to-1 systems that allow agencies to move from manual production to massive-scale, AI-driven generation.
What You Will Build
- The New Ad Stack: Architect the backend infrastructure for a platform that doesn't just serve ads, but helps create them. This involves complex orchestration of generative models, editing tools, and external ad platform APIs.
- Scalable Agentic Workflows: Build the systems that allow an AI agent to autonomously execute multi-step creative briefs, understanding a prompt, generating video, editing it, and preparing it for flight.
- Marketplace Reliability: Ensure that our generative engine is robust enough to handle the high stakes of commercial advertising, where latency, safety, and reliability are non-negotiable.
The Profile We Are Looking For
- Industry Veteran: You have spent years building the previous generation of ad tools (DSPs, Ad Managers, Exchanges) and you are ready to build what comes next.
- 0-to-1 Architect: You have a history of breaking ground on new products. You know how to make high-stakes technical decisions without a roadmap.
- Generative Ambition: You see GenAI not as a novelty, but as the inevitable future of your industry, and you have the technical skills (Python, System Design, ML familiarity) to make it a reality.
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $170,000 – $360,000 per year.
