Luma is building multimodal AI to expand human imagination. We are a team of ~100 builders and researchers working at the frontier of generative technology. Where You Come In
We are looking for a strategic recruiting partner to help us scale our core team. We aren't hiring for a rigid box; we are hiring for capability and impact.
Depending on your background and our evolving needs, you might take deep ownership of a specific high-impact vertical (like Engineering, Research, or Go-To-Market), or you might operate as a strategic generalist working across the entire organization.
The common thread is ownership. Whether you are deep in a niche or working wide across the company, you will have the autonomy to "run your own show," partnering directly with founders and leaders to secure the world-class talent needed to build AGI.
What You'll Do
- Own Your Domain: Take end-to-end ownership of your search strategy. Whether you focus on one vertical or many, you will be the strategic lead for those roles, not just a ticket-taker.
- Adapt to Impact: Bring a flexible mindset. You might deep-dive into a critical Engineering search one quarter and pivot to a GTM sprint the next, or you might lock in to build out a specific function for the long haul.
- Identify "High Slope" Talent: Screen candidates not just for keywords, but for the "builder" mindset, curiosity, and "high agency" that defines our culture .
- Partner with Leadership: Work directly with hiring managers to define talent bars and close complex offers.
- Build the Machine: Help us "invent" and optimize our recruiting infrastructure, bringing order to ambiguity as we grow.

- Strategic Closer: You understand the nuance of pitching equity, mission, and impact to top-tier talent.
What Sets You Apart (Bonus Points)
- Experience scaling a company from ~50 to ~400 employees.
- Direct experience recruiting for AI/ML or Deep Tech organizations.
- Proficiency with modern recruiting stacks (e.g., Gem, Seekout, Metaview, Juicebox) and data-driven hiring.
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $125,000 – $220,000 per year.
