📈 Equity: A very generous EMI share offering.

🌴 Holiday: 26 days + bank holidays.

💗 Mission: Elevate later life for everybody and build the care sector of the future.

💻 Office Policy: Remote.

🌍 Head Office Location: London Bridge, London, UK.

🔍 The Opportunity:

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering leader to build a new product line from the ground up and lead a small team of product engineers working on AI voice & chat agents. You will work closely with our leadership to get this from 0 to 1 in record time, and integrate seamlessly into Found, our operating system for care. You will truly work at the intersection of product and engineering, mixing scrappiness and fast learning cycles with proper engineering to scale the product.

You'll report to the CPTO with a dotted line to the GM for product direction.

💻 What does this role involve?

  • Prototyping and building the foundation for our product. Owning the technical roadmap

  • Coding alongside the team while also sharing the product hat with our GM, supported by our VP Product and CPTO

  • Building and managing a team of 3 product engineers; helping them grow and deliver more impact

  • Ensuring a high bar both in terms of speed and quality. Oscillating between the two depending on the context

  • Helping the team operate effectively by breaking problems down into simpler ones for fast delivery and impact

  • Wearing any other hat necessary to the success of the team

💪 What problems will you be solving?

  • Build AI voice and chat agents to help care homes provide a 5-star service to people looking for care

  • Ensuring our agents provide high quality responses and accurate information, with robust eval frameworks to measure and improve performance

  • Integrating deeply into Found, our SaaS operating system, leveraging our CRM to enable care seekers to book viewings and get information seamlessly

  • Fine-tune voice quality, tone, and emotional intelligence to create warm, empathetic interactions that reflect our care values

  • Build systems that balance LLM economics - managing token costs, latency trade-offs, and knowing when to fine-tune vs prompt engineer

👀 We think you’ll be a great fit if...

  • You are a self-starter. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working on challenges with many unknowns. You provide clarity and make things happen

  • You have 7+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, including leading technical decisions and mentoring engineers and have worked across the stack

  • You have hands-on experience building with LLMs - whether fine-tuning models, working with voice APIs, or building eval frameworks

  • You have opinions on LLM observability, prompt engineering, and building reliable AI systems

  • You are extremely product-minded and conscious of what great looks like from an engineering point of view. You focus relentlessly on impact and decreasing the cost of change

  • You know when to use duct tape and when to build for scale - comfortable shipping MVPs that work, then iterating based on real usage

  • You have embraced AI in your workflow. You use Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar and try AI for all kinds of productivity improvements while understanding the limitations of existing LLMs

  • You have built something 0 to 1 and worked in cross-functional teams

  • You value diversity and inclusion and are passionate about creating a space where everyone's voices are heard, respected, and celebrated

  • You're someone who brings joy and enjoys building meaningful work relationships

💔 This role isn’t for you if…

  • Our mission to elevate later life care doesn't resonate with you

  • You want very clear lanes and don't enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with loosely defined requirements

  • You don't enjoy being hands-on anymore. We believe leaders should operate at all levels

  • You don't know how to be scrappy
