Summary of Position

The Program Manager will serve as the day-to-day lead for one of our largest and most strategic PBM client partnerships. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Program Management, this individual contributor role is responsible for driving the success of the program by cultivating strong client relationships, executing client-specific strategies, and aligning internal stakeholders to deliver meaningful business outcomes. The Program Manager will work cross-functionally to ensure program performance meets or exceeds key success metrics, including high client satisfaction and increased program engagement that fuels revenue growth.

This role requires a strategic thinker and effective operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable navigating complex organizations, and brings a proactive, relationship-first mindset to client management. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to deliver client value, support retention and engagement goals, and represent the voice of the client internally to continuously improve our offerings and execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Book of Business & Relationship Management

· Serve as the primary point of contact for a large, strategic PBM client, owning day-to-day relationship management and ensuring the delivery of exceptional client service and program value.

· Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive, client-specific program strategy focused on driving engagement, adoption, retention and revenue growth.

· Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business model, pharmacy benefit strategy, and organizational priorities to ensure Teladoc Health’s solutions with both current needs and long-term vision.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders—including clinical, product, data analytics, operations, and marketing teams—to ensure effective implementation, tracking, and optimization of program performance.

· Monitor and report on program KPIs, including engagement, satisfaction, and revenue growth; proactively identify opportunities to enhance results and present actionable insights to the client and internal leadership.

· Identify and escalate client issues with urgency and precision, ensuring timely resolution while maintaining a strong and trusted partnership.

· Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships across the client organization, including senior stakeholders, to drive retention and expansion opportunities.

· Oversee the full scope of client programs within an assigned book of business, acting as the internal owner of all complex client interactions. Ensure alignment of services with strategic objectives, retention goals, and client satisfaction.

· Collaborate with Sales and Implementation teams to ensure smooth onboarding, transitions, and long-term program success.

· Prepare and lead data-driven client performance reviews, highlighting ROI and impact.

· Engage C-suite stakeholders with compelling insights and strategic opportunities.

· Maintain accurate documentation and account activity in Salesforce and other internal systems to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuity.

· Act as an internal champion for the client, representing their voice and experience to influence continuous improvement of products, services, and processes.

· Exhibit thought leadership by staying abreast of market dynamics, client requirements, and industry trends. Leverage this knowledge to inform engagement strategies, address client needs, and align with healthcare market cycles and buying behaviors.

Communicate effectively across all levels, delivering high-impact executive presentations and contributing to strategic planning discussions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in client-facing program or account management roles within the healthcare industry, with specific experience working with or for Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PBM operations, pharmacy benefit design, and the broader healthcare ecosystem, including health plans and payer organizations
  • Technologically proficient; experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and data/reporting tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support client relationships and internal meetings
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience creating and delivering executive-level presentations and outcomes reporting
  • Proven ability to manage and grow strategic, complex accounts, including navigating cross-functional stakeholders and executive-level client relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MHA)
  • Experience with chronic condition management programs and population health strategies strongly preferred
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling stories that communicate program impact and drive decision-making across diverse audiences, including senior executives
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills; able to prioritize effectively and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

The base salary range for this position is $100,000- $120,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
