Summary of Position:

We are seeking an innovative and strategic Director, People Enablement, Strategy and Initiatives to lead and shape how our organization approaches HR Shared Services to ensure we are prepared to deliver most effectively as Teladoc Health grows and scales its operations. This leader is responsible for redesigning HR structures and processes to enhance our employee experience, improve operational efficiency, and drive business alignment. A key component of the role includes managing and optimizing the relationship with cross-functional partners to ensure successful design and delivery of transformation initiatives enterprise-wide.

What You Will Do:

Overall General Management:

  • Responsible for leading and developing team of People Operations analysts and HR Project Management professionals, and responsible for individual development, hiring strategies, and compensation recommendations.

  • Develops departmental short and long-term goals/objectives. Meets with staff members to discuss progress and future courses of action. Analyzes departmental strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and constraints.

  • Directs department workflow and monitors staff performance. Drives performance improvement initiatives and ensures that service levels meet or exceed agreed upon standards.

  • Ensures appropriate audit processes for quality control of all programs within scope of responsibility. Ensures data integrity and accurate reporting of all data generated within areas of responsibility.

People Operations:

  • Develop the People Operations strategy and roadmap to support broader organizational objectives. Partner with senior leaders to ensure initiatives support organizational goals.

  • Redesign organizational structures, HR operating models, and service delivery approaches.

  • Assess current HR processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement innovative solutions to improve organizational effectiveness. Leverage technology to automate and improve workflows, data management, and reporting capabilities.

  • Own the end-to-end experience of employee onboarding and offboarding, coordinating tools, documentation, and communication.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in HR – particularly in the HR Operations/Shared Services space. Evaluate and recommend innovative solutions to enhance HR capabilities and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the HR function (e.g., design to associate and manager self-service and assess the external landscape to procure technology to support shared services).

HR Transformation and Initiatives:

  • Partner with People Strategy & Programs Director and VP to develop the long-term roadmap for the our function – ensuring our roadmap and strategy align with the overall People strategy as well as the strategies of the other HR Centers of Excellence.

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of large-scale HR transformation programs.

  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and business unit leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals.

  • Oversee project governance, budget, timelines, and success metrics for HR transformation initiatives.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, with at least five (5) years in an HR transformation and/or HR Shared Services leadership role.

  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise-wide transformation initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.

  • Experience working HR systems (e.g. Workday, ADP, iCIMS, or similar).

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex global projects. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive strategic decisions and improvements.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • PMP, SPHR or SHRM-SCP certifications are preferred.

  • Strong understanding of HR functions, including talent acquisition, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance.

The base salary range for this position is $165,000 - $205,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
