Summary of Position

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be a key member of the AP team as the candidate will work closely with other AP team members and internal business partners to ensure discrepancies are followed-up on and resolved – especially for escalations/rush payments. The candidate’s primary responsibility will reside around managing the company’s various card programs (T&E, P-Card, &V-Card), as well as, partnering with the Supplier Set-up team members to ensure supplier maintenance is completed timely and accurately. Through the different responsibilities, the AP Specialist will also work closely with various groups within the Accounting group to resolve GL coding adjustments and payment failures. He/she will share a partnership with other AP team members to drive and deliver on department initiatives and execute on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

The successful candidate will be a respected individual contributor that internal and external business partners will have confidence with their quality, respect, and timeliness in their partnership. The candidate may own a variety of additional functions within the AP team such as Invoice Processing, T&E Audit and Support, and Customer Service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with internal business partners to ensure the P-Card transactions are compliant with the policy and have all of the required documentation, coding, and approval
  • Assist in supporting the Supplier Maintenance process through adding, inactivating, or updating supplier records for our traditional A/P invoicing processing
  • Follow a fraud prevention process when calling suppliers as needed to confirm banking details additions or changes
  • Monitor and resolve any credit card declines with the appropriate business partner
  • Work with Virtual Card suppliers to ensure payments are successful
  • Assist employees with challenges or guidance they need with their T&E credit cards
  • Be accountable for obtaining and saving all appropriate documentation during the supplier, invoicing, and payment management processes to ensure SOX compliance
  • Partner with other AP Specialist to manage different functions within the AP team
  • Assist leadership in finding process efficiencies and cost reduction processes while upholding the quality in our controls and standards
  • Participate in projects that involve integrations or testing that improve payment and invoicing processes
  • As efficiencies are gained, additional responsibilities could be assigned, or a need may arise to assist in research of escalated situations

Qualifications Required for Position

  • 1-3 years of Accounts Payable, Procurement, or experience in advance knowledge of B2B payables transactions
  • 1-3 years of experience in auditing P-Cards or T&E corporate credit card transactions
  • 1-3 years of experience in supplier maintenance and banking set-ups (global banking knowledge preferred)
  • Knowledge of either Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud (Cloud Preferred) AP Subledger is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong working knowledge Excel functions
  • Above average analytical thinking and communication skills to convey information effectively
  • Flexibility in responding to unanticipated situations
  • A proven ability to build strong business relationships beyond the finance team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines
  • Is capable of remaining calm when things fall behind or volume is up – can see the long game

The base salary range for this position is $24 -26/hourly. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
