Summary of Position
At Teladoc Health, we are currently seeking a talented Marketing Automation Developer to join our Consumer Marketing, Marketing Automation team. In this role, you will play an instrumental part in crafting and maintaining cutting-edge marketing automation solutions aimed at enhancing lifecycle marketing efforts. Working in close collaboration with multifaceted teams, you will spearhead the implementation and optimization of marketing campaigns, drawing upon your extensive expertise in development, SQL, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). ***This is a hybrid role. Must be able to commute to Lewisville TX OR Chicago IL office 1-2 days a week.***
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automation workflows and triggered communications that integrate with internal and external data sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across campaigns.
- Lead the end-to-end campaign lifecycle: from data architecture, scripting, and testing to deployment, ensuring technical alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and transform large data sets for segmentation, reporting, and automation purposes, ensuring optimal query performance.
- Manage integrations between the marketing automation platform (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and external systems (e.g., CRM, e-commerce, customer data platforms), ensuring data flow integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, data engineering, data science, etc.) to align technical solutions with business requirements and optimize platform usage.
- Oversee platform configuration and optimization, including API connections, automation triggers, and data models to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues within campaign workflows, integrations, and data syncs, providing advanced technical support when needed.
- Ensure compliance and security protocols are followed in all data handling and automation processes, adhering to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Lead and execute quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure that campaigns, templates, and data workflows perform as expected. This includes developing testing plans, conducting rigorous pre-launch checks, and validating that automation and personalization function correctly in all environments.
Qualifications Required for Position:
- 5+ years Marketing Automation experience – Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) experience required.
- Mastery in SQL for intricate audience segmentation.
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud or similar customer data platforms for managing data flows, personalization, and segmentation.
- Hands-on experience with email builder tools (e.g., Salesforce Content Builder, Litmus, Stensul, or similar platforms) to create, edit, and test email templates efficiently.
- Data/metrics/analysis/results orientation.
- Track record of process improvement.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient use of Figma and Workfront.
- Proficient in HTML and CSS email development, showcasing a keen eye for detail and design.
- Adaptability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, consistently meeting ambitious timelines.
- Experience with and passion for teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $125,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
