Summary of Position

Reporting to the Associate Director, Project Management, the role of Project Manager will work with multiple cross-functional areas to manage deliverables required to implement and maintain Teladoc Health Canada’s line of business. In this role, you will work with a wide variety of teams across the company to help implement far-reaching projects and facilitate change, ensuring products, services and partnerships are delivered on-time, within budget and meet quality expectations. You will lead initiatives from start to finish, identifying success metrics and providing status updates to senior leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and own definitions, timelines, risk assessments, communications and cost-benefit analyses for new projects as defined jointly with the project sponsor;

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including charter, project plan, work breakdown and resource estimates, and continuously monitor project progress vis a vis timeline and budget;

  • Schedule, create agendas, plan, facilitate, and follow up on action

  • Manage key project risks and issues, including appropriate escalation to leadership as needed;

  • Schedule, create agendas, plan, facilitate, and follow up on action items for various project team meetings;

  • Ensure consistency, efficiency, quality, and integrity in all projects and deliverables;

  • Identify and track project metrics to determine levels of project effectiveness and resource efficiency;

  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional Teladoc teams to execute on projects that facilitate innovation, productivity, delivery and scale;

  • Build and maintain constructive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders;

  • Work collaboratively with the appropriate business and/or IT leads to track implementation, where indicated;

  • Deliver clear and regular communication of project status, tasks, milestones, challenges, risks and changes to all team members using appropriate project management documentation, including to senior leadership;

  • Analyze and review business processes and solutions throughout the project duration to ensure alignment to business, needs of end-users and supporting sustainability of implemented solution after project closes;

  • Participate proactively in maintaining and developing standards, tools, and best practices and enhancing the value add of the project management function;

  • Create sustainability plans based on lessons learned upon completion of projects;

  • Provide other forms of project facilitation support as may be required by the specific deliverable at hand.

  • Experience in guiding and coaching junior team members

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project managers, supervise their projects outside of the formal reporting line

  • Build and maintain constructive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including the senior leadership team

  • Manage key project risks and issues, including appropriate escalation to leadership as needed;

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Strong analytical skills with at least 5-8 years of project management experience;

  • Previous success in leading projects in complex business process environments;

  • Proven ability to multitask effectively and see projects through from inception to completion;

  • Enthusiastic, motivated to deliver best in class solutions for Teladoc stakeholders;

  • Organized, tenacious and willing to lead by example;

  • Self-starter, big picture thinker but commitment to get into details to understand projects and issues in depth;

  • Ability to adapt in an agile manner and effectively manage change;

  • Relevant certification (e.g. PMP, project management degree) is a plus;
