We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Network Architect to join our team and lead the design, architecture, engineering and operations of our cloud networking solutions with a strong focus on infrastructure as code, cloud networking, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track-record of working with large scale, high-availability systems, overseeing the performance and quality of the designs, mentoring engineers, and ensuring that services under his/her responsibility meet business requirements and industry best practices emphasizing on cloud native networking services offered by Azure, AWS and etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of cloud networking solutions that meet the diverse needs of our business to service our clients using cloud native networking services

  • Provide technical leadership to systems engineers with focus on cloud best practices for networking.

  • Evaluate and implement on-premises to public cloud migration & connectivity solutions.

  • Architect networking solutions that optimize performance, security, and cost-effectiveness within cloud environments

  • Conduct in-depth technical assessments, performance analysis, and troubleshooting of networking solutions to identify and resolve bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, and inefficiencies.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture while promoting professional growth and development within the team.

  • Work closely with Software (App Dev) and DevOps leadership to align software development initiatives with business goals.

  • Establish and maintain rigorous standards for cloud networking services. Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud infrastructure strategy aligned with Teladoc's business objectives.

  • Lead the migration of existing network infrastructure to the cloud, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and security.

  • Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code practices (Cloud bees, Rancher, Terraform, CAF)

  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of cloud engineers, providing clear direction and fostering a culture of innovation.

  • Leverage deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to optimize cloud services and infrastructure.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 15+ years of Network Engineering experience

  • 10+ years of Network Architecture experience

  • 7+ years of experience as a network leader managing high performing teams

  • 5+ years of cloud network experience in Azure (highly preferred) or AWS

  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Cloud bees, Rancher, Terraform, CAF)

  • Track record of successfully leading the migration of complex network infrastructure to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.

  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and experience collaborating with security teams to implement robust security measures.

  • Ability to align technical initiatives with broader business goals. Experience developing and executing cloud strategies to drive organizational success.

The base salary range for this position is $200,000-$230,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
