As the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day business operations, driving efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness through strategic initiatives and automation. This role will play a key part in aligning operational activities with our strategic objectives, managing budgets, and leading cross-functional teams to implement impactful initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee and optimize day-to-day business operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness, with a strategic focus on automation.
  • Process Standardization: Develop standardized intake processes, service and ticketing mechanisms, and build dashboards for operational metrics to enhance visibility and performance.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure that operational activities fully support the achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control to ensure effective resource allocation in alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with strategic initiatives and operational processes to ensure business continuity and compliance.
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge Management: Build and manage a central repository of knowledge, programs, and projects to streamline information flow and enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Performance Measurement: Implement methods for measuring the return on investment (ROI) of strategic initiatives and operational improvements, adjusting strategies as needed.

Qualifications Required for Position

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required (years of experience may be substituted), Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role overseeing strategic initiatives and operations, preferably in the healthcare or technology industry.
  • Strong background in optimizing business operations, implementing automation, and driving efficiency.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budget management and financial forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across various departments and teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on results, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The base salary range for this position is $240,000-$280,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
