This is a full time, office based position located at our site in San Jose, CA.

Summary of Position

The Workplace Services Manager plays a primary role in supporting the continuous operation and improvement of our office spaces, including site security, property maintenance and project-based initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company corporate office in San Jose, CA, with oversight of offices in Goleta, CA.

  • Delivery of maintenance and repair services for all hard and soft equipment at assigned office(s).

  • Supervise multi-disciplinary teams of non-exempt staff including janitorial and security.

  • Coordinate site safety programs, i.e., first aid/AED training.

  • Work with the Sr. Director in allocating and managing space in office buildings.

  • Interface with internal stakeholders and leadership regarding facilities issues.

  • Maintain daily oversight of both hard (HVAC & Air Filter Vendors) and soft services (Janitorial, Pest Control, Fire/life safety vendors) for the office.

  • Support the Sr. Director of Workplace in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the operations center and individual departments.

  • Proven environmental, safety and health background in an industrial environment with strong business acumen and operations knowledge

  • Ensure compliance with Teladoc Health minimum audit standards.

  • Coordinate discussions with selected vendors or suppliers regarding goal setting, performance criteria, and performance review.

  • Work with the Sr. Director of Workplace to source local services and goods needed to perform day to day operations through 3rd party suppliers.

  • Partner with the Sr. Director of Workplace Services on all operating and capital budgets.

  • Serve as second level financial approver for workplace related invoices via accounting systems.

  • Support local site leaders with office-based events or projects as needed.

  • Perform other duties as required.

​The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • 5 years of workplace facilities experience.

  • 2-3 years managing teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels in the company to include C-level Executives.

  • Proficient in MS Office, and possess strong written, verbal and people skills.

  • Knowledge of real estate, environmental, safety, health, telecommunications, furniture, accounting and building systems.

  • Superior customer service skills and orientation.

  • Ability to maintain consistent professionalism under stressful situations.

  • Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints.

  • Ability to multitask and work without direct supervision.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to direct responses during emergency situations.

  • Proven ability to provide direction to staff

Preferred:

Certification in facilities management (FMP, CMP) a plus.

Education Requirements

High school degree required; bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, business management, or related field highly preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $118,000-135,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023.Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
