The new combined national footprint will serve more than 250,000 properties, facilitate approximately 2.5 million repair and maintenance orders, and complete nearly 20,000 renovation and turn projects per year. Lessen is looking for a Purchasing Agent to join our fast paced, growing real estate start-up company. We are a software and service company focused on modernizing the property services industry. This role will be responsible for supporting the field teams by purchasing various necessary materials, supplies and services across 2 business segments: including renovations and turns.
What You’ll Do:
· Oversee the entire project procurement management for multiple markets, including, but not limited to, all the following responsibilities:
· Purchase materials for all Renovation and Turn Projects
· Source, select and negotiate with local and regional suppliers where needed
· Coordinate logistics of materials
· Facilitate phone sales with suppliers
· Manage inventory levels for markets where materials are stocked to ensure all necessary materials are available
You Should Have:
· Construction material knowledge
· Basic understanding of contract language
· Ability to build and maintain relationships with manufactures and suppliers
· 2-4 years of Purchasing experience
· Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
· Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools and other software as required
· Extremely detail oriented and organized
· Ability to prioritize and make sound decision
