Who are we

Lean enables companies to seamlessly connect to users' bank accounts to initiate real-time payments and retrieve account information. Our products are trusted by leading companies, helping users perform prudent financial planning, access better loan rates, transfer money to friends, and more, all while ensuring privacy and security.

Some of Lean’s clients include the likes of Tabby, Nayifat, Tamam, Circlys, and many more, making it the region’s most valuable Open Banking platform. The company has now processed over a billion dollars, and its products are also connected with hundreds of thousands of accounts. Lean envisions a fully inclusive financial ecosystem that serves everyone, no matter where they bank or live in the MENA region.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the team:

    • Work with Engineering Managers and developers to plan and manage sprints.

    • Oversee quarterly planning, set OKRs, and ensure project timelines are met.

    • Regularly update senior management on progress, achievements, and any obstacles.

  • Building amazing payment experiences:

    • Develop features such as Instant Payments, Scheduled Payments, Recurring Payments, Pay by Account, Refunds, and Request to Pay.

    • Ensure all products comply with Open Banking (KSA) and Open Finance (UAE) standards.

  • Data-driven decisions:

    • Monitor product metrics like conversion rates, payment success rates, and user satisfaction.

    • Use insights to optimize products and uncover new opportunities.

  • Bridging teams and ideas:

    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Compliance, Sales, and Operations to align on requirements and delivery timelines.

    • Be the go-to person for product-related queries from the team, senior management, or external partners.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of product management experience, ideally in payments or fintech.

  • Familiarity with Open Banking or Open Finance standards is a major plus.

  • Proven experience managing products from concept to launch.

  • Strong understanding of payment systems, including initiation, authorization, and compliance flows.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Comfort with RESTful APIs and understanding payment systems.

  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Experience in the Middle Eastern financial markets is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and a data-driven decision-making approach.

  • Passionate about payments, Open Banking, and Open Finance.
