🧑‍🚀 What You’ll Do

Strategy & Ownership

  • Architect and maintain robust data pipelines between our PostgreSQL DB, BigQuery warehouse, Braze, and reporting tools
  • Design scalable data models and warehouse architecture to unlock smarter decision-making
  • Own our reverse ETL flows to customer engagement tools like Braze — enabling personalized experiences at scale
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and observability across all analytics and reporting workflows

Execution & Collaboration

  • Partner with Lifecycle and Product teams to define metrics, build segmentation logic, and support experimentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enable reporting, cohort analysis, and marketing automation
  • Translate business needs into clean, scalable datasets — and make technical concepts accessible to non-technical teams

Innovation & Impact

  • Leverage tools like Segment, BigQuery, dbt, and Airbyte to move fast and build reliable systems
  • Continuously evaluate and improve our data stack, from ingestion to activation
  • Help define and evolve our data engineering practices as we scale

🧬 The DNA We're Looking For

You're a data engineer who thinks like a product builder — equal parts system architect, SQL wizard, and business partner. You care deeply about clean data, fast pipelines, and high-leverage tooling. You bring a proactive mindset and thrive in a rapidly growing, high-agency environment.

The Foundation

  • 5+ years in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or similar roles
  • Expert-level SQL skills and deep experience with BigQuery
  • Hands-on experience with Segment, dbt, Airbyte, or similar pipeline tools
  • Familiarity with reverse ETL flows and customer engagement platforms like Braze
  • Comfortable working across teams to define metrics, support experimentation, and build reliable data infrastructure

  • Outcome-oriented — you don’t just move data, you move the business
  • Data quality obsessive - you love clean, reliable, and accessible pipelines
  • Collaborative communicator — fluent in translating business needs into scalable data solutions

Bonus Points

  • Experience with machine learning and AI tooling
  • Experience with Braze or other Marketing Automation tools
  • Familiarity with BI tools like Looker
  • Knowledge of event tracking platforms like Segment or Amplitude
  • Python experience for transformation logic
  • Fitness/wellness industry experience or passion
