Channel Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Channel Systems Engineer to work closely with a sales representative in a defined territory. The Channel Systems Engineer's main mission will be to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales.

With us you will

  • Collaborate with focus partners in the territory to develop comprehensive business plans that align to strategic objectives
  • Provide technical pre-sales support to partners, including product presentations, demonstrations and solution architecture design.
  • Plan and drive detailed technical training sessions for partners, ensuring they are proficient in the company’s products, solutions, and integration processes
  • Support channel partners with technical issues during and after product implementation, acting as a liaison between them and the company's technical support teams
  • Lead all technical aspects of a sales cycle with the Partners, from the initial RFIs, through to RFPs & RFQs when required. This includes the project management and active participation in POCs in partnership with the relevant teams both internally and within the customer and/or partner.
  • Continuously strive to improve knowledge around the Fortinet products and solutions, along with maintaining a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and Fortinet’s ability to provide long lasting protection against the ever-evolving threats.
  • Have a strong ability to position Fortinet solutions to the customer, whether this be remotely or in person. This requires strong communication skills and the ability to confidently present through whiteboarding, technical white papers, technical plans or customer discussions.
  • Stay informed about product roadmaps, emerging technologies, and industry trends to provide valuable assistance to partners in their business growth endeavours.

  • Assist in the development and deployment of channel enablement materials, such as technical guides, manuals, and webinars

  • Manage your time effectively when working on multiple deals simultaneously, ensuring a positive customer experience is maintained.
  • Maintain accurate activity, contact, and account technical information of all customers and prospects in our CRM (Salesforce).

Apply if you

  • Prior experience working with channel is required. Strong understanding of channel sales models and experience working with resellers, distributors, and other channel partners
  • Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, or a similar technical role.
  • Expert level knowledge in Networking (wired- and wireless, SD-WAN, WAN), and Network security (Hybrid-Mesh Firewall, SASE, ZTNA and Public/Private Cloud)
  • Expert Knowledge of the following technologies: Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Cybersecurity.
  • Solid understanding in the following technologies and protocols: RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES
  • Have a strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES
  • Hands-on experience with product installations, configurations, and troubleshooting
