We're seeking a Staff Front-End Developer with deep Angular expertise and strong leadership capabilities to drive the architecture, scalability, and evolution of our cloud portal. This is a high-impact role collaborating across design, backend, and product teams to deliver secure, responsive, and scalable UI for production use.

As a Staff Front-End Developer, you will:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Angular-based front-end architecture.
  • Leverage and contribute to existing UI standards, design systems, and internal frameworks to deliver consistent and maintainable user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with designers to deliver clean, responsive, and mobile-friendly user interfaces.
  • Integrate with backend APIs and guide API contract design from a front-end perspective.
  • Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and help grow front-end engineering excellence.
  • Drive performance, security, and accessibility improvements across the front-end stack.
  • Collaborate on product and engineering strategy, contributing to roadmap planning and technical direction.

We are looking for:

  • 6+ years of front-end development experience with a strong focus on Angular.
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript, RxJS, SCSS, and component-based architecture.
  • Proven ability to build responsive, mobile-friendly web applications using modern CSS and layout techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of JavaScript design and architectural patterns.
  • Experience with CSS pre-processors like SASS or LESS.
  • Solid experience integrating with REST APIs, gRPC, WebSocket, GraphQL and understanding server-side concerns.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Proficient with performance optimization, scalability, and front-end security best practices (e.g., XSS, CSRF).
  • Skilled in building and maintaining complex Single Page Applications (SPAs).
  • Familiar with testing and debugging tools such as Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, Chrome DevTools.

Good to have:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms that manage enterprise networking and security hardware, including firewalls, wireless, switches, and extender devices.
  • Experience in backend development using Java.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $140,000 - $160,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
