Manager, Regional Sales - Public Sector (North)

Role Overview:

At Fortinet, our mission is to safeguard people, devices, and data everywhere. We are currently seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to contribute to the success of our rapidly growing business.

You would act as a leader for the Northern Public Sector territory, managing a team of six Regional Account Managers and one Inside Regional Account Manager, driving growth across major public sector organisations.

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Regional Account Managers and an Inside Regional Account Manager.

  • Build and execute strategic territory plans to expand Fortinet’s presence across public sector accounts in the North.

  • Establish and strengthen executive-level relationships with key decision makers, influencers, and partners across the public sector ecosystem.

  • Oversee the creation and delivery of proposals, bids, RFI/RFP responses, and Statements of Work.

  • Support the team in negotiating commercial terms that drive long-term customer partnerships.

  • Drive new business development while ensuring strong expansion within existing public sector accounts.

  • Manage reseller and partner relationships in alignment with Fortinet’s channel programs, ensuring effective enablement and collaboration.

  • Build revenue and non-revenue business plans with partners, including MDF strategy, account penetration, and profitability targets.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and ensure consistent execution across the territory.

  • Collaborate closely with SE teams, consulting teams, marketing, engineering, and regional leadership to drive growth.

  • Travel within the assigned territory as required.

We Are Looking For:

  • Extensive experience selling technology solutions to enterprise or public sector customers.

  • Proven success managing and developing high-performing sales teams.

  • Strong track record of over-quota achievement and career stability.

  • Experience closing large, complex public sector deals.

  • Background in network security, including one or more of the following: Firewall/VPN, AV, IDS/IDP.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and executive-engagement skills.

  • Strong business acumen, leadership capability, and the ability to mentor and motivate teams.
