Skills & Qualifications

  • Field sales experience
  • WiFi and/or switching selling, designing and consulting roles
  • Excellent understanding of WLAN technologies and architectures.
  • Good understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 switching
  • Ability to work effectively, to add value as a team member, and collaborate with a variety of teams such as engineering, sales, product management and customer support.
  • Experience in managing large deals
  • A self-motivated, independent thinker that together with the local team can move deals through the selling cycle
  • Candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Competitive, Self-starter, Team player
  • Knowledge of Sales Force or equivalent
  • Regional and international travel required
  • English and Spanish required, Portuguese a plus.

Job Duties and responsibilities

  • Understanding of sales process from prospection of new opportunities till closure
  • Maximize Fortinet opportunity while providing value added solutions enhancing the offer with access products
  • Works closely together with the local account managers in order to maximize the primary business focus
  • Develops relationships with key decision makers, influencers and partners
  • Manages effective working relationships with assigned regional sales and engineering teams

Travels within assigned territory is required


A SAT-BDM is a senior technical sales person, part of a specialized team, who will work as a business advisor for the local channel and accounts teams. The SAT-BDM engages in strategic deals where his knowledge of secure access architecture will affect the reach of Fortinet solution, bring to our customer a more broaden approach to their security needs. The SAT-BDM works alongside with peer field channel, account teams, and channel partners that may be involved, throughout the sales process. The SAT-BDM is expected to shape the positive outcome of customer engagements such as presentations and meetings while showing the benefits of the proposed access architecture.
