Fortinet has an exciting opportunity for an experienced DevOps Specialist to join our FortiCloud operation team. We are managing the consumer-facing services with high traffic volumes around the world. Service Reliability and Security is our top priority. This is a critical position for driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of collaboration between development and operations. Provide on call support as required.


Job Responsibilities

  • Developing and Maintaining Infrastructure as Code in terraform to producing a high standard of well-factored and tested code.
  • Develop continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in Jenkins and Gitlab CI.
  • Administration experience in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu) as a server platform. Manage and troubleshoot applications on kubernetes.
  • Implement and maintain system monitoring and alerting using tools like Nagios , Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including diagnosis, mitigate and prost-mortem analysis.
  • Automate system provisioning and application deployment using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
  • Work with development, QA, and IT teams to integrate DevOps best practices into every stage of the software lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and tools.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps/Systems Engineer/ SRE
  • Experience with Docker and application containerization.
  • Working knowledge of OpenStack, AWS or other public/private cloud providers
  • Strong hands-on experience with Configuration as Code, Ansible.
  • Deep understanding and hands on knowledge on containerization technologies.
  • Strong experience with deploying applications on Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Experience with different virtualization environments including VMware, KVM & OpenStack.
  • Strong experience with IaC technology (Terraform, etc).
  • Strong systems experience on Linux, bare-metal and virtual machines.
  • Experience with observability tools, such Prometheus and Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios.
  • Proficiency of at least one scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell etc).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tool just as Jenkins or GitLab would be desirable.
  • Basic network knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, etc).
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Focused on continuous improvement - always be looking for improvement, automation and optimization opportunities from the cloud.

Bonus Experience

  • Certification in RHCE
  • Certification in Kubernetes
  • Certification in CCIE
  • Knowledge in ISO27001
  • Knowledge in container management (Kubernetes, Helm, etc.)

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $100,000 - $137,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
