Fortinet is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented Senior Revenue Analyst to work cross-functionally within the Company in driving revenue recognition controls and processes as the Company continues to scale and strives to be the top security company globally. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who would like to play a key role in Finance/Revenue, to develop his/her career progressively and comprehensively at a fast growing company in the field of network security.

Responsibilities

Revenue Accounting Close and Compliance:

  • Own month/quarter end close procedures, prepare revenue and deferred revenue journal entries and account reconciliations for B/S and P&L accounts
  • Perform revenue and deferred revenue analytics¸ including trend analysis, and prepare month-end and quarter-end revenue reporting for management
  • Participate in reviewing customer contracts with non-standard terms impacting revenue recognition, and ensure that revenue contracts are properly recorded in alignment with ASC 606
  • Work on New Product Introduction and update revenue attributes for new SKUs in Oracle system, including ad-hoc review of SKU assignments
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and audit & SOX controls
  • Assist with external audit requests and ad hoc projects as needed

Revenue System:

  • Assist with revenue system management, and work with IT proactively to schedule system programs to maintain up-to-date data in Zuora cloud, Oracle, and BI for revenue recognition and reporting purposes
  • Participate in quarterly system upgrade testing to ensure system core functionalities remain as-is while Zuora publishes their release notes quarterly
  • Participate in system enhancement projects and assist in UATs as needed.

Process Automation and Transformation:

  • Actively identify opportunities to streamline revenue close processes, reduce manual work and drive close acceleration.
  • Actively enroll in the development of system process to enhance performance

Requirements

  • B. S. Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
  • Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure in revenue area
  • Solid general accounting skills and knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606
  • Team player and solid communicator (verbal and written), including the ability to interact professionally across functions and geographies
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, high growth, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High degree of diligence, strong analytical skills and intermediate/advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Oracle, Zuora (RevPro), Salesforce and Tableau, a plus

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $120,000 - $190,000 Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion
