Lacework is seeing a Software Engineer - Front End with proven experience in leading critical and architectural decisions for a development team, providing sound technical direction, and communicating effectively. You will work within a cross-functional team of designers, product managers, and quality engineers in a fast-paced startup environment. Our engineering teams are fast moving and highly impactful. You will learn from the best and help us architect and build the application of our future.
The Role:
- Build state of the art threat detection systems
- Work with PMs, customers, and sales to design and develop new security products/features
- Write scalable, maintainable, and testable code
- Architect, design, and implement highly scalable distributed systems that provide availability, scalability and latency guarantees.
- Actively engage with other teams across the company to identify security scenarios where machine learning/applied statistics can be used and guide the development of solutions to these problems.
- Lead refinement of the technical roadmap for front-end improvements.
- Construct framework-level enhancements that improve the way software development is implemented by the team.
- Develop infrastructure as required to monitor and scale
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of related experience with a technical Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent
- Proven experience in leading critical, architectural decisions for a development team, providing sound technical direction, and communicating effectively
- Expert skills in Javascript, HTML, CSS, and have experience developing full-featured client-side applications using modern Javascript technologies such as React/Redux
- Experience with modern build and dependency management processes and tools:, Webpack, Yarn, Node, npm
- Experience with Database systems such as Snowflake/MySQL
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Experience leading end-to-end architecture reviews and discussions with the broader team, playing an influential role in overall product design
- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
- Working knowledge/experience with AWS-stack a plus
Salary Range: $119k - $300k USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus + Equity
Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, education/training and skill level.
