We’re seeking a Senior Social Strategist to develop and implement an ownable strategy for KAYAK's social channels. This candidate brings proven expertise in organic and paid social, has experience in influencer marketing, and an appetite for bucking the status quo.
In this role, you'll bring a distinct and fresh approach to our social content, making KAYAK impossible to scroll past. Partnering closely with the Social Content Manager and Creative Team, you’ll be responsible for developing a distinct, channel-specific presence, helping KAYAK show up on the right platforms with the right content. You will also work closely with the Paid Media team, helping to evolve our paid social efforts across the funnel, fueling a flywheel that drives growth for KAYAK in North America.
This role will be required to work from our Cambridge, MA office at least three days per week, reporting to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing, North America.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Strategy
Define and implement a distinct and ownable, social strategy tailored to different channels based on differing audience needs, platform nuances and business objectives
Identify unique audience and content opportunities using first and third‑party insights
Develop a strategic approach addressing how and when to enter cultural/trending moments
Creative Partnership
Partner with the Social Content Lead and Creative Team to set a distinct creative direction for each channel and develop a regular cadence of relatable, relevant ideas that are on strategy and on brand
Own the experimentation roadmap: propose new formats/features, prioritize tests, and drive social strategy for specific product launches, campaign moments and influencer partnerships.
Paid Collaboration & Measurement
Partner with the Paid Media team to turn performance insights into a robust feedback loop that fuels our full‑funnel paid strategy
Define channel KPIs and success metrics; use native and third‑party analytics to measure impact, iterate quickly, and report results.
Deliver recommendations for scaling influencer and creator partnerships to meet strategic goals
People & Collaboration
Manage and mentor internal stakeholders and external agencies/partners; ensure creative and performance alignment.
Serve as the social lead on cross‑functional campaign launches with Brand, Media, Creative, PR, and Product teams.
