We are looking for a skilled public relations expert, master of messaging and brilliant storyteller to lead our global communications team at KAYAK. Comfortable managing C-suite execs and driving B2B and B2C public relations initiatives, this role will oversee four teammates and report into OpenTable’s Chief Communications Officer.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop global communication strategies that will build our reputation among restaurants, diners and the industry.

  • Own and evolve our external narrative and storytelling across B2B and B2C

  • Deliver best in class media coverage that moves the needle for our business, prepare written remarks, speeches and more for C-Suite execs

  • Oversee agency relationships globally

  • Report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns and strategies, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.

  • Brief spokespeople for media interviews and speaking opportunities

  • Lead issues management and crisis communications

  • Collaborate with internal comms, marketing, sales, product to ensure a cohesive public image and cross-functional alignment.

  • Lead a team of 4 global PR professionals

Please apply if:

  • 15+ years of communications experience; in-house & agency experience preferred

  • Strategic problem solver with strong problem-solving capabilities

  • Proven track record of developing and driving successful PR programs and high impact initiatives

  • Demonstrable experience working cross-functionally and driving 360 campaigns

  • Comfortable working with and managing teams across multiple time zones

  • Strong leadership skills and experience in team management

  • U.S. public company experience is a plus (OpenTable and KAYAK are part of by Booking Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: BKNG))

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism or relevant area of study

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this remote United States based role is $180,000-$220,000.

In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible for additional compensation and benefits including: annual cash bonus, equity grant; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave and benefits.
