The Opportunity:
Kandji is seeking an experienced, proactive legal leader to head our Legal function. Based in our Miami (Coral Gables) office and reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for advising on complex legal matters across product innovation, privacy, intellectual property, corporate governance, and commercial contracting. You will also establish and scale a high-performing legal team in tandem with our continued growth. To start, this role will operate as a team of one, working closely with and leveraging outside counsel as needed, with the opportunity to build and grow an in-house team over time.

How You Will Make a Difference Day to Day:

  • Advise cross-functionally on privacy, data protection, intellectual property, and technology innovation—partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and InfoSec teams.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial sales agreements in close partnership with the CRO —including SaaS contracts, MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, and partner agreements (~15% of your time).
  • Partner with outside counsel on strategic governance and compliance initiatives, working closely with the CFO on cap table management and risk mitigation.
  • Support employment, equity, and benefits matters in collaboration with People and Finance teams.
  • Guide strategic business transactions such as fundraising, acquisitions, and global expansion.
  • Build and maintain scalable legal infrastructure and playbooks to support Kandji’s fast-moving Go To Market motion.
  • Monitor and respond to evolving regulatory landscapes, especially in SaaS, privacy, and security.
  • Recruit, mentor, and grow Kandji’s legal team as we scale.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 8 years of legal experience, including at least 3 years in-house at a high-growth tech company (SaaS or security preferred).
  • Proven experience in senior legal leadership roles—Head of Legal or comparable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in privacy law, commercial contracting, IP, product innovation, and corporate governance.
  • Strong commercial contracting background.
  • Excellent judgment, business acumen, and communication skills.
  • Track record of navigating high-growth environments and building legal teams from the ground up.
  • Required to work on-site 5x a week in our Miami office (Coral Gables).
