Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Manager for Fraud & Identity who combines deep analytic skills with keen insight to drive significant improvements in Payments & Fraud across all channels of our platform. The candidate should not only excel in data analytics and visualization, but also possess outstanding time management, communication, and leadership skills. About the Job

  • Leadership and Strategy: Lead our Fraud Operations team, playing a pivotal role in defining and executing fraud management strategies across the platform, addressing areas such as Customer Fraud & Payments including chargebacks, promo abuses, and coupon fraud.
  • Analytical Expertise: Develop a profound understanding of the interactions between different business units and provide solutions with your expertise in Fraud & Payments across multiple vectors.
  • Communication and Insights: Consistently deliver important findings and strategic guidance to all levels of stakeholders, including senior management, to inform and enhance decision-making processes.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Oversee critical fraud metrics and create analytical dashboards with automated reporting systems. Engage with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Accounting to provide actionable insights across the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive key initiatives alongside Product, Engineering, Finance, Design, and Operations departments to foster continuous improvement in business procedures and customer experience.
  • Team Development: Manage and mentor a team of 5, fostering an environment of growth and development within the team.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: 6-8+ years in Fraud management within the e-commerce, marketplace, or on-demand sectors.
  • Technical Skills: Exceptional ability in data analysis, proficient in SQL, and accustomed to synthesizing data to identify trends and solutions.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading projects and initiatives in dynamic environments, with proven experience in team building and nurturing talent.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, capable of crafting and presenting compelling narratives tailored to various audiences.
  • Strategic Mindset: Forward-thinking with a strategic approach and a high level of accountability.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Strong ability to work cross-functionally and influence policies, products, and operations through data-driven insights.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with chargeback processes, fraud-prevention platforms, and systems relevant to e-commerce and Card Not Present (CNP) transactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior roles in Fraud or Risk management.
  • Proficiency in advanced reporting tools like R Shiny, Dash, or Bokeh.
  • Advanced degree in statistics or a relevant quantitative field.
  • Experience with payment processing, authentication, anti-fraud systems, tools, or vendors.
