We’re looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented finance professional to ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounts payable, accruals, and prepaids in line with U.S. and local GAAP. In this role, you will oversee key closing activities, strengthen financial controls, and drive process improvements and automation within a centralized SSC environment, while maintaining strong budget governance and visibility over spend efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Manage account payables, accruals, prepaids, commitments, and related reconciliations and internal controls in compliance with U.S. and local GAAP requirements.
- Own month-, quarter-, and year-end close ensuring completeness and accuracy of accounts payables and accruals, amortization of prepaids, and vendor balance reviews.
- Design, implement and document policies, processes and procedures to reduce the number of days to close while ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Design and implement scalable processes and automation to improve the procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle, including enhancing P2P system capabilities, while maintaining a strong controls environment.
- Work closely with FP&A and drive budget governance by monitoring spend versus approved budgets, performing variance analysis, validating PR/POs, tracking commitments, and highlighting overages or risks proactively.
- Partner with Marketing, Procurement, Legal, IT teams, and other budget owners to ensure proper contract review, expense classification, accounting treatment, and compliance with internal policies.
- Support SOX compliance by maintaining strong documentation and internal controls, focusing on completeness and accuracy of data.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely and clean audits related to the areas pertaining to the SSC.
Qualifications
- 12–15 years of progressive experience in controllership or shared services leadership roles within international public or high-growth private company environments.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing efficient close processes, process improvements, and systems optimization to reduce the number of days to close.
- CA / CPA required.
- Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP principles of accounting and period-end financial controls.
- Experience in working with and automating large amounts of data, and having enhanced Excel and/or SQL skills highly preferred.
- Experience in actively working in ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or similar), and P2P workflows and systems (Zip, Coupa or similar).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior non-finance leaders, and develop and deliver educational workshops to various departments.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and self-driven, with a strong commitment to financial discipline and scalable operations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
