We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Global Tax Specialist to drive and execute our comprehensive LATAM tax strategy. You will support our International Tax Lead based in Brazil and play a crucial hands-on role in ensuring regional tax compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting cross-border business initiatives across our Latin American markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Execution: Assist the International Tax Lead in implementing regional tax strategies, optimizing our tax footprint, and adapting to legislative changes across key LATAM jurisdictions (e.g., Brazil, Mexico, Colombia,Peru, Chile).
  • Compliance & Reporting: Support the end-to-end tax compliance process for direct and indirect taxes (ISS, PIS/COFINS, IBS/CBS). Coordinate with external tax advisors and internal accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Advisory & Research: Conduct research on local tax laws, treaties, and transfer pricing regulations. Provide actionable insights on the tax implications of new business launches, intercompany transactions, and supply chain adjustments.
  • Transfer Pricing: Assist in gathering documentation, reviewing intercompany agreements, and monitoring local transfer pricing compliance requirements.
  • Audit Support: Help manage local tax audits and inquiries by preparing documentation, reconciling tax accounts, and drafting responses to tax authorities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline tax reporting and data collection processes using technology and best practices.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of dedicated tax experience within a multinationals or Big 4 accounting firm, with a strong focus on LATAM regional tax. Direct experience navigating the complexities of the Brazilian tax system (PIS/COFINS, ICMS, CIDE, IRRF, SS, IRPJ/CSLL) is a must.
  • Language Skills: Professional fluency in English and Portuguese (Spanish preferred).
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Latin American tax frameworks (direct and indirect taxes) and foundational knowledge of international tax concepts (e.g., withholding taxes, transfer pricing, Double Tax Treaties). Prior experience with Netsuite, Workday or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Skills: Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong proficiency in Excel and financial ERP systems
