We are looking for a Government Relations Manager for Colombia with solid experience in addressing complex regulatory issues and establishing sustainable relations with the regulators and key opinion leaders. This position is needed to represent and advance inDrive’s interests in Colombia with national and state authorities and key opinion leaders.
Responsibilities
Coordinate interaction with public authorities: strengthen the dialogue with the officials, build and manage strategic relationships in order to leverage business, advocate inDrive values to the government officials. Establish channels for inDrive executives to communicate our strategy and partnerships with senior decision makers in South Latam. Take part in workshops and conferences related to the regulation of the Company’s business; Participate in Class Associations, create reports and actively propose discussion items to other members; Regularly provide reports on planned and ongoing activities, the results achieved, implement a regular exchange of experience with other divisions of the company, as well as within the department; Prepares letters, appeals, inquiries and other materials to the state authorities and business associations within their competence; Monitoring of political issues at national and local levels in countries in Latin America. Prepare and execute licensing plans for all the Company’s branches of business in South Latam.
Qualifications
3 to 4 years years of experience in government relations or related field; Bachelor or postgraduate degree in law/business administration/political science/international affairs; Expert knowledge of governmental and/or legal systems English on a proficiency level; Experience in government relations for tech companies would be an advantage; Experience with the legislative, regulatory, policymaking, and political processes; Ability to research policy and political issues and synthesize and summarize the information; Availability for business trips; Strong communications skills; Excellent organizational skills, self directed and self motivated with a high bias for proactive action; Strong analytical and presentation skills, able to align company strengths and goals with strategic government opportunities and challenges; Project management skills; Ability to work independently.
