The Reporting Department team is in search of an experienced Reporting Specialist in our office in Almaty!
Responsibilities
- Lead various aspects of the company’s global financial close and reporting process in accordance with US GAAP
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close in accordance with US GAAP at both local and consolidated levels
- Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits under PCAOB standards
- Supervise the monthly reconciliations and analysis of all general ledger accounts (balance sheet and income statement) at both local and consolidated levels, ensuring compliance with US GAAP accounting standards and internal requirements
- Understand and manage US GAAP to local GAAP adjustments for key locations, ensuring that local controllers adhere to appropriate practices from a local GAAP perspective
- Maintain a close partnership with FP&A to ensure alignment on required analytics
- Analyze financial data and transactions to identify anomalies and proactively resolve any errors found
- Research and document complex US GAAP accounting matters and develop accounting policies for global application
- Oversee and optimize internal controls to promote SOX compliance
- Lead process improvement and system implementation projects
- Communicate operating results and accounting information to executive management effectively and strategically, delivering results-oriented messages. Work with FP&A to enhance executive management and department heads' understanding of departmental and company-wide financial performance
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in industry and public accounting (experience with Bid4 is preferred)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with NetSuite is preferable
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS principles
- Previous hands-on experience as a controller
- Excellent financial reporting skills, including variance analysis, discussion, and reconciliations
- Previous experience in a high-growth technology and/or SaaS organization is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required
