As a Corporate Social Responsibility Team Leader, the role involves managing a team to execute social responsibility initiatives. Responsibilities also include monitoring performance, communicating achievements, and managing the Charity and Sponsorship Committee's initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing a team: leading and managing team members working on social responsibility initiatives. This includes setting goals, providing guidance and support, and monitoring progress.
  • Planning and executing social responsibility initiatives: identifying areas of focus, setting objectives, developing strategies, and managing resources.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders: working with stakeholders both within and outside the organization, including employees, customers, suppliers, NGOs, and government agencies.
  • Monitoring and reporting on social responsibility performance: collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and communicating results to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards: ensuring that the organization complies with relevant regulations and standards related to social responsibility, such as environmental regulations, labor laws, and human rights standards.
  • Building partnerships and networks: establishing relationships with other organizations and stakeholders to support the organization's social responsibility initiatives and goals.
  • Communicating social responsibility initiatives and achievements: communicating the organization's social responsibility initiatives and achievements to internal and external stakeholders through various channels, such as reports, presentations, and events.
  • Development of the concept of projects and programs: creating and refining the framework for managing and delivering projects and programs. This involves defining the processes, procedures, and tools that will be used to manage projects and programs, as well as determining the roles and responsibilities of the people involved in delivering them.
  • Managing the Charity and Sponsorship Committee: overseeing the development and execution of the organization's charity and sponsorship initiatives. This includes defining the committee's mission, setting objectives, creating strategies, and managing the day-to-day operations of the committee.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
  • Sustainability certification: Certifications such as the Sustainability Professional Certification (SPC) and the Sustainability Excellence Professional (SEP) certification can help you build a strong foundation in sustainability and social responsibility.
  • Project management certification: Certifications such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification can help you build the project management skills needed to effectively plan and execute social responsibility initiatives.
  • Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting certification: Certifications such as the Certificate in ESG Reporting (CESGR) can help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to effectively report on the environmental, social, and governance performance of your organization.
  • Leadership and management training: Programs such as the Certified Manager program or the Harvard ManageMentor program can help you build the leadership and management skills needed to effectively lead a team and drive social responsibility initiatives.
  • Social impact measurement:

    • Certified Impact Measurement Professional (CIMP): Offered by the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), this certification demonstrates expertise in impact measurement, including impact evaluation, data analysis, and reporting.
    • Certificate in Impact Measurement and Management (IMM): Offered by the Impact Management Project, this certification provides a comprehensive understanding of impact measurement and management, covering topics such as impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, and impact reporting.

  • 4-5 years of experience leading social responsibility initiatives: Developing and leading social responsibility initiatives, such as sustainability programs, community engagement initiatives, and corporate philanthropy programs.
  • Project management experience: Managing projects, including developing project plans, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team management experience: Managing a team, including setting goals, providing feedback, and coaching team members to help them grow and develop.
