Team Leader of Search Engine Marketing

We are seeking an experienced and motivated SEM Team Lead to oversee and drive our marketing efforts for both web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in user acquisition, ASO, and SEO, with hands-on experience in managing Google Ads and Apple Search Ads campaigns. You will lead a regional, distributed team of around 10 professionals with a matrix reporting structure, focusing on optimizing our digital presence to increase traffic, conversions, and overall brand visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Digital Director and manage digital marketing metrics across Google Ads, Apple Search Ads, ASO & SEO channels.
  • Build tier-1 user acquisition, ASO & SEO teams. Oversee more than 10 specialists, focusing on their performance, professional development, productivity, and technical excellence.
  • Develop effective strategies for user acquisition and remarketing in Google Ads & Apple Search Ads that meet business needs and KPIs across all major regions.
  • Manage communications between various stakeholders from digital, marketing, business, and product teams
  • Establish partnerships and maintain connections with platform representatives & agencies to stay ahead on industry trends and enrich team expertise and market understanding.
  • Foster and develop a collaborative team culture. Discover best practices with industry partners, consultants, and internal tests, and implement them across your area of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Have at least 8 years of experience in digital marketing. Experience in a ride-tech or other high-tech company is a plus.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience leading a regionally distributed team. Experience in various markets, including EMEA, APAC, Latin America, and tier-1 countries, is a plus.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills. You should be capable of building a team, inspiring individuals, and leading them towards achieving common goals.
  • Demonstrate an ability, supported by specific examples, to initiate changes and drive measurable results to improve GMV, revenue or ROI using digital marketing tools, especially via Google Ads and Apple Search Ads.
  • Be an excellent communicator. You should be able to deliver complex messages to non-technical audiences and contribute to the discussion of non-obvious problems.
  • Have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a deep understanding of the technical details of mobile and web environments. You should be familiar with dealing with SKAD, restricted, cannibalization, brand protection, and how to achieve incremental growth.
  • Possess a data-driven mindset. You should be eager to delve into data, identify correlations, construct hypotheses, and test & verify them.
