Global Tax Specialist (Personal Income Tax)

We are looking for an experienced Global Tax Specialist (Personal Income Tax) who will join our office in Almaty!

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and structuring tax efficient employment solutions for company’s personnel, identifying and mitigating tax risks across all countries the Company’s operations
  • Supporting the company with its equity program in areas concerning employee’s tax obligations/reporting
  • Designing and implementing new programmes for remote work and supporting employees’ compliance in this regard (office with no borders, full remote work, outstaff model of work)
  • Performing tax risk analysis and developing proposals for an outstaffing model of employment (including risks of creating a permanent establishment and double taxation)
  • Supporting employees through the process of filing their personal tax returns in Cyprus/Russia/Kazakhstan, assisting them with preparation of personal tax returns and guiding them through the tax return submission, tax payment and desk audit process via holding regular webinar/information sessions
  • Advising employees on the various reporting obligations that exist for Russian tax residents/citizen, currency residents and special currency residents, including opening/closing, use and reporting of foreign bank accounts. Supporting employees through the process of filing of respective currency notifications/reports/information letters on absence of such obligations
  • Advising and consulting on issues related to individual taxation of the new employees and the candidates, suggesting individual solutions (pre-arrival consultations, to-do list for newcomers, etc.)
  • Advising and consulting on issues related to individual taxation for employees leaving the company/relocating back to Russia
  • Informing employees with latest trends and key issues concerning international assignments so that they may fulfill individual taxation obligations in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Higher education in finance, economics
  • Work experience in Big4 (global employer services) from 1-2 years with personal income tax
  • Work experience in the field of tax consulting / tax compliance
  • Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills
  • Great command of English (Advanced)
