We are expanding our legal department and we’re looking for a talented and experienced professional to be the Leading Lawyer. You will be responsible to keep in touch with external suppliers, give advice about Mexico and LATAM and create new processes.
Responsibilities
- General legal support and research of different laws in the Latam region (TNC regulation, consumer protection laws, advertising, and administrative law).
- Review and draft memos with analytical information regarding changes in the applicable legislation, development of recommendations, and necessary product changes. Monitoring and analysis of the legislation of different countries in Latam.
- Solving claims and incidents of users requiring legal attention;
- Contractual work: development, analysis, review of different forms of contracts, participation in negotiation with counterparties.
- Drafting Terms of Usage, guidelines, and Terms and Conditions.
- Review and approval of marketing materials/campaigns.
- Drafting Terms of Use, Safety Management policies, Code of Conduct, and other applicable guidelines for users.
Qualifications
- English Advanced level
- Spanish (local language)
- Pro-activity, decision-making skills
- Experience working with consumer protection law.
- Experience researching or interacting with legal problems involving concurrent legislation at the federal, state, and municipal levels
- Strong experience drafting contracts and negotiating clauses.
- Experience as an in-house lawyer in a tech or startup company.
Preferred Qualifications
