Business Development Manager (Debt Funding and investments)

Neobank is a key high-growth initiative within inDrive, dedicated to offering essential financial products to the underserved inDrive community, comprising both drivers and passengers. In 2023, we successfully initiated and launched cash loans and credit cards in Mexico through strategic partnerships with lending providers who committed to assuming all the credit risk. As we progress into 2024, a pivotal focus is on testing and developing our own funding model as an alternative to relying solely on partners.

This role plays a critical part in driving forward this funding initiative and we're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager based in Mexico/Colombia. Responsibilities

  • Seek out and establish contacts with debt providers for our Mexican/Colombian fintech products (including cash loans and credit cards).
  • Actively engage with potential partners, skillfully negotiate terms, and secure advantageous deals for external debt financing.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance and Legal teams to devise an effective internal financial framework for our proprietary funding initiatives.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between departments to optimize the internal financial processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Take ownership of the proprietary funding project, steering its outcomes and actively contributing to its continuous development.
  • Work towards ensuring the project's success by strategizing and executing plans for its expansion, fostering sustainability and growth.

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in securing equity and debt funding
  • Proven track record in fundraising and pitching to investors, showcasing the ability to articulate compelling business propositions
  • Strong network within the private debt industry in the US / Latam market
  • Exceptional communication skills, demonstrating a successful history of negotiating and securing beneficial deals
  • Proficient analytical and financial modeling skills, including the ability to draw conclusions from initial numerical data and construct sophisticated financial models to predict profitability
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint presentations (or Google Docs alternatives) for effective data analysis and presentation creation
