Why this role matters:
As a Supplier Quality Engineer - Electronics, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of ICEYE’s external manufacturing ecosystem. You will drive supplier quality activities across the full supplier lifecycle, from supplier selection and qualification to ongoing performance management and continuous improvement.
Working closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, AIT Engineering, and external manufacturing partners, you will help ensure that critical electronic components and assemblies meet the highest standards for mission-critical space hardware. Your work will directly support ICEYE’s ability to deliver reliable, manufacturable, and high-performance systems at scale.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
Lead supplier preselection activities and supplier audits to assess capability, maturity, and compliance with ICEYE and industry standards
Define and communicate technical and quality requirements to suppliers, ensuring clear understanding and consistent compliance across the supply chain
Monitor supplier performance through quality, delivery, and responsiveness metrics, driving corrective and continuous improvement actions where needed
Manage supplier change requests, part approvals, process approvals, and configuration control activities together with Engineering and Configuration Management teams
Lead supplier part qualification activities to ensure compliance with technical, quality, and regulatory requirements before production release
Identify and proactively mitigate supplier-related risks to support continuity of supply, product quality, and delivery performance
Collaborate closely with Design and AIT Engineering teams to improve manufacturability and inspectability of electronic assemblies and components
Act as the primary point of contact for supplier-related quality issues, including non-conformances, deviation requests, and waiver management
What we’re looking for
Must haves:
Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
Strong experience in supplier quality management for high-reliability electronics, including audits, qualification activities, and supplier performance management
Deep understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and IPC Class 3 requirements, including PCB assembly, cable and harness assembly, and inspection methodologies
Experience managing non-conformances, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions in high-reliability manufacturing environments
Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials, and detailed technical specifications
Strong understanding of traceability, configuration control, and change management for mission-critical hardware
Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze supplier performance and identify improvement opportunities
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across suppliers and cross-functional internal teams
Ability to drive results and influence decisions without direct authority
Structured problem-solving approach with strong analytical thinking skills
High level of ownership with a proactive and hands-on working style
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Nice to haves:
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 Class 3, IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3, J-STD-001, and ECSS standards
Experience working with ERP systems in production environments
Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other high-reliability manufacturing industries
