Why this role matters:

This role is responsible for performing, visual, and mechanical inspections and quality checks to ensure that all hardware used in ICEYE satellite missions meets defined quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.

The Quality Control Technician supports the implementation of inspection plans by conducting inspections during receiving, ensuring that all components and subsystems conform to requirements prior to shipment.

The role is embedded within the production and AIT environment, working closely with Production, AIT Engineering, Mission Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to identify defects early, prevent quality escapes, and maintain compliance with space-grade standards.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

  • Conduct visual, and mechanical inspections and quality checks during receiving operations on mechanical, composite and electronic parts, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) items, and subsystems in accordance with inspection sheets and/or inspection plans;

  • Update material status in the ERP/MES system in accordance with inspection results;

  • Report non-conformances (NCs), support root cause analysis (RCA) activities, and contribute to the implementation of corrective and preventive actions across production and the supply chain;

  • Prepare timely and accurate reports on outstanding issues related to inspected parts and subsystems;

  • Review and provide feedback on inspection sheets and/or control plans;

  • Maintain and follow quarantine and scrapping procedures;

  • Ensure inspection tools and equipment are properly calibrated and maintained;

  • Monitor inspection, logistics, production, storage, and laboratory environments to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards;

  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the company.

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanics, Quality Control, Manufacturing, or related field

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control roles within aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing environments. Hands-on experience inspecting mechanical parts.

  • Use of inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, torque tools)

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection plans

  • Awareness of manufacturing and assembly processes

  • Knowledge of measurement principles and calibration requirements

  • Conversational level of spoken and written English

Nice to haves:

  • Hands on experience inspecting composite parts

  • Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes

Base salary range for this position is dependant on experience, and will be negotiated individually.
