What you'll do
- Act as Hypersonica’s primary UK MoD Account Manager, leading and coordinating engagement across the tri-service environment.
- Own through life customer engagement for hypersonic capability, supporting delivery from concept and assessment through integration, sustainment, and disposal.
- Serve as the trusted interface with MoD stakeholders, including DE&S delivery teams, Front Line Commands, and senior capability sponsors (2*+), ensuring alignment with national priorities and programme objectives.
- Translate Defence capability needs, operational requirements, and acquisition intent into clear, actionable inputs for engineering, programme management, and operations teams.
- Support programme planning and execution by coordinating requirements clarification, milestones, reviews, and assurance activities in line with UK Defence acquisition processes.
- Navigate Defence Lines of Development (DLOD), ensuring coherent consideration of training, logistics, personnel, infrastructure, safety, and sustainment alongside technical delivery.
- Provide informed insight into MOD governance, approval cycles, and decision making dynamics to enable realistic planning and timely execution.
- Engage with allied partners and selected industry stakeholders where required, supporting alignment with broader defence and coalition objectives.
- Contribute to senior level briefings, demonstrations, and programme reviews, ensuring operational relevance, technical credibility, and disciplined communication.
- Maintain strict adherence to security, export control, and information assurance requirements across all customer and partner interactions.
- Act as a credible internal voice of the customer, ensuring Hypersonica’s capabilities remain aligned to real operational need and acquisition reality.
Who you are
- A recently serving (ideally last 3 years) senior UK military officer (Major or above) or equivalent MoD professional, with deep credibility across the tri-service environment.
- Proven experience working within MOD capability development and acquisition, including exposure to DE&S and senior (2*+) headquarters.
- Comfortable operating at the interface of operations, acquisition, and delivery, not confined to a single stovepipe.
- Holds or has previously held DV clearance, with strong instincts for security, discretion, and information control.
- Academically grounded with a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, ideally through defence-focused institutions.
- Brings practical understanding of Defence Lines of Development, sustainment realities, and through-life capability management.
- Trusted to engage credibly with senior military leaders, civil servants, and industry partners as a peer.
- Motivated by shaping and delivering the UK’s next-generation hypersonic strike capability from inside a small, high-trust team.
