Software Verification Test Engineer (GNC)
Hypersonica
Quality Assurance
Munich, Germany
What you'll do
- Own verification and test activities for Navigation, Guidance, and Control (GNC) algorithms across development stages.
- Define clear, risk driven verification test plans that map system and algorithm requirements to executable tests.
- Execute algorithm verification through simulation, MIL, SIL, and HIL environments in close coordination with design and integration teams.
- Analyse test data to identify failure modes, performance gaps, and edge cases across the flight envelope.
- Feed verification results back into model and algorithm improvement, closing the loop between test and design.
- Produce concise, decision focused test reports that enable rapid engineering and programme decisions.
- Support readiness reviews and contribute evidence toward system qualification and flight confidence.
Who you are
- A verification, test, or systems engineer with 3+ years’ experience working on control, navigation, or guidance software in aerospace or defence.
- Comfortable thinking in terms of requirements, risks, and evidence, not just test execution.
- Strong at breaking algorithms, exploring edge cases, and exposing behaviours before flight does.
- Fluent working with simulation-heavy environments, and confident interpreting complex test data.
- Someone who naturally closes the loop between test results and model or algorithm improvement.
- Able to communicate findings through clear, decision-grade reporting rather than raw data dumps.
- Balanced in mindset: rigorous about correctness, but aligned with programme pace and iteration speed.
- Motivated by building confidence in flight-critical software where verification quality directly affects mission success.
What we offer
